Want to get started with branding? Then read this first.
Hey Brand fan,
Last week it was all about the fails - this week it's about the things you can do right from the start.
Because to be honest:
branding can evolve. But if you're just starting out, you still need a few points to give you direction.
Here are my 5 tips for anyone who is rebuilding their branding - whether you are just starting up, taking your side hustle seriously or finally want to make your heart project visible:

✅ 1. positioning first - always.
If you don't know who you're there for, you won't know how you should look, sound or act.
👉 Who is your target group?
👉 What do you no longer need to say when they see you?
👉 What do you want to trigger in them?
Without these points, your branding will be pretty - but somehow empty.
✅ 2. branding is not a design briefing
Too many start with: "I need a logo" or "Do it in pastel".
But your branding is not a visual accessory - it is your strongest means of communication. Because the first impression is decisive as to whether someone takes a closer look, reads, even notices the USPs, or simply screams "NEXT" in their head.
👉 Talk about values, impact, emotion - not just about colors and fonts.

✅ 3. think in touchpoints (my absolute MUST DO)
Your branding will not exist on a foil.
But on Insta. In the webshop. In the reel. On the packaging. On a sticker. In an event picture.
👉 Be aware: your brand identity has to work in many places.
Not just on your mood board presentation. Everyone needs to speak the same design language so that you are recognized and it becomes a "brand".
✅ 4. be brave - but stay consistent
Corners and edges help to be remembered.
But: everything has to fit the idea.
If you stand for calm and balance, then you don't need a flashy, disruptive design.
If you stand for energy and progress, then don't be too quiet.
👉 Have the courage - but don't overdo it.
✅ 5. get started - but let yourself be challenged
Make a first draft.
Define how you want to appear.
But get honest feedback from people who know about brands. Not from Aunt Erna and her girlfriend, who are always looking for something to criticize anyway.
👉 Branding is not born in a quiet room - it
it is created in dialog with real life.

💬 What you can take away from this
✨ Branding doesn't have to be perfect from the start - but it does need a direction.
✨ If you know what you want to trigger, everything else is easier.
✨ And if you already know where you want to be visible everywhere, you will automatically make better decisions.
🎯 Next week:
When it comes to rebranding.
So: When is it worthwhile?
What do you need to look out for?
And what should you never forget when updating your brand identity?

🏁 Conclusion
You don't need a 50-page brand bible.
But you do need a direction.
And that doesn't come from a pretty logo - but from clarity, feeling and a plan for what you want to make visible.
See you next week - stay clear, stay real, stay you.
