Personal branding – what you should keep in mind in 2026.
Hey Brand fan,
I'll say it straight:
Personal branding isn't just for influencers. And when done right, it has nothing to do with ego.
It's a strategic asset. For you. And for your brand.
Because ultimately, people don't buy from companies. And they don't always buy just one product.
They also buy from people they like, trust, or identify with. This is especially true when the product is not significantly different from others on the market, or when it is a new product that requires trust.
How I do it at BoredBrands Studio
I am visible.
On LinkedIn. In podcasts. At events.
Not because I like seeing myself so much. Really, I don't. I actually prefer being behind the camera, backstage—rather than in front of the camera and on stage.
But I know:
Every interaction contributes to BoredBrands Studio.
To our standing. Our orders. Our brand impact.
And yes—it's work.
But:
My face is recognition.
My voice is trust.
And my vibe is what attracts people—or doesn't.
Why this will work for you too:
1. Trust beats brand
A fancy logo alone does not build a relationship.
But a face that is honest does.
People google you. Not just your company.
And if they don't find anything?
Too bad. Opportunity missed.
2. Proximity scales
Personal branding makes your company more tangible.
Especially in industries that are unsexy or overcrowded.
That's why you always see a picture of me here in the newsletter.
You become the category explanation.
The door opener. The reference.
"Do you know her? She does the branding for..."
And just like that, you're the topic of conversation—not your sales funnel.
3. Added value trumps advertising
When you share content, express opinions, and provide insights, you establish yourself as an expert in a way that no paid advertisement in the world can achieve.
And yes:
Today, I get more orders through my personal network than through traditional marketing.
Because: People remember people.
What you can do right away:
✨ Share insights from your everyday life—not just results.
✨ Show your face. Or your voice. Or your style.
✨ Tell stories, not just processes.
And if you think this isn't for you because you're an introvert:
All the better. The world has enough power gestures and LinkedIn posing.
Better to show who you really are. That's the difference.
🏁 Conclusion
There is so much untapped potential. Use it. Build on it. Make it real.
And if you want your company to be around for the long haul, give it a face that people won't forget.
And if you have any questions, please get in touch. I am also happy to advise on personnel and employer branding issues.
See you next week—stay visible, stay human, stay you.
